Term 2 Lesson 2: War - A personal Response

"Ahhhhhhh!' Pain filled the soldiers. It was so painful that it was comparable to childbirth, maybe even worse. Soldiers laid on the floor, groaning in pain. The lucky ones could still move around and feel the pain of their wounds. The unlucky ones, however, were already numb from the pain, without the ability to move their aching muscles, they laid on the floor, awaiting death.
But the soldiers were all still filled with hope, they were just tired. They hoped that the war would end, and hoped that their country would come out victorious. They worried for their country, they worried for their future, but most importantly, they worried for their families. Their worried wifes and hungry children that were not deformed.
Gunshots could be heard in the distance. Screams of pain and the sounds of grenades blowing people up. War is a terrible thing. It brings disharmony. It disrupts peace and could leave you in pieces. However, it is inevitable. People are selfish, and this brings war. But is it worth it to disrupt the lives of millions of people just for the benefit of one place?
Soldiers laid on the floor, tired from the everlasting fight for freedom and dignity, but still willing to give their all. As the burning ball in the sky sets over the flaming orange sky, the soldiers rest their aching muscles and relentless spirits. They know that the war has no intention of ending, but tomorrow will be a better day.

~  THE END ~
